The QA1 coilover kit uses a cone style spring sits in the stock frame spring pocket. Global West makes nice control arms for the A-bodies. I would also look at ATS for their AFX spindles.

I have the QA1 coil over's with air ride upper and lower arm's on a 70 chevelle.
