      Patriots FTW!

Congrat's to the Pats! 18 down, 1 to go. Then it will just be up to the Celtics for the trifecta.

Is it me or did the Pats look really bad today? I don't know if it was the cold or what but that game was way closer than it should have been IMO. I mean they blew away the healthy Chargers 38-14 in Week 2. The running game between Maroney and Faulk turned out to be the major yardage gains for the Pats today. Man, Faulk has been Mr. Go-To-Guy lately. Everytime he touches the ball great things happen. However, Moss, Welker and Watson were totally shut down and Brady was off on a lot of easy passes. He looked like Bledsoe on a couple plays. And once again, Hobbs got burned on nearly every coverage except the INT. That guy is the weakest link.

The G-men played them incredibly tough in week 16. They have a killer D and I'm actually more nervous to play them than the Pack in 2 weeks.

It seems to me that the Pats have been on a very gradual decline for several weeks with a couple bright spots here and there. They need to get a much stronger pass rush, figure out some more effective secondary coverage to beat NY. This SB will be a close one I think.

Oh, you guys were lucky enough to escape? I'm jealous. At least the sports here have been great over the past few years.

Congrats so far. Enjoy your decade!

Me: my Bengals and Reds are having a bad 20 years! At least I'm a UF alumni so I get national championships that way, lol.

I was rootin' for the Packers in the NFC game up until Favre strated playing like crap in the 4th quarter, then I said screw em...I hope the G-men win. I'm happy for the Giants but they're going to get massacred on February 3rd. I've been a Tom Brady fan since his Michigan days but I'm really getting tired of the Patriots.

Yep. That's true. The Red Sox are the new Yankees. The Patriots are the new Cowboys.

I give both organizations credit, and I'm insanely jealous.

Just to stir the pot I wouldn't mind seeing them eat some humble pie on Super Bowl Sunday. I could care less about either team if mine isn't playing. I'm more interested in the field day all of the sports journalists would have with this if they don't pull it off. Bradys a hometown Bay Area boy so hes definately getting love from this side of the country but that would be the one thorn in his side if he gets beat by the Giants. And I can't stand Baby Eli or his whining pops Archie.

Pats all the way. Im more of a Brady fan than a Pats fan, the guy just digs in and delivers and has been doing it for years. I want to see them pull it off.

I followed the Colts by default the last few years, I lived in Indy for 6 years, but I've always thought Manning was a bitch that folded under pressure.

I find it interesting that I havent seen any trash talking from the Pats players, especially Moss. They credit the team for their wins, and are respectful of their opponents. I'd like to see them pull it off.

Well...that's easy to do when your offensive line gives you enough time to make a grilled cheese sandwich and eat it before you have to throw the ball. Their offensive line is probably the best in the history of the NFL. Their pass protection is incredible. I'd even rate it a step above the Cowboys line from the Emmitt Smith days. Seriously, is Lawerance Maroney that good? If he was on Atlanta's roster would you ever hear his name on Sportscenter?

That's the key to a great NFL team. The offensive line. That's where it all starts. And New England gets it. Just like those Cowboys teams from the 90's and the Denver teams that won 2 Superbowls.

Your talking franchise now. That just means they might be the best franchise ever. but as far as the best team, it looks like the 2007 Pats and Sox would win that title. The best RIGHT now. The Sox aren't the new Yankees they're the new Sox.

BTW, the best car is te one that won the last race.

Yeah I wouldn't root against the Giants just yet. Eli might pull that rabbit out of his hat just in time for the Superbowl. Brady looks to be slowing a bit. ANYTHING can happen on any given sunday and Brady better pray to the football gods he can pull this one off. Otherwise they'll be going down in history as the team that could've gone 19-0 but didn't.

Brady was on the "Questionable to play" list for every game this season.

There's no doubt it'll be a great game in 2 weeks.

Hey now, we're not so bad ourselves. Pistons have the 2nd best record in the league, Tigers are one of the World Series favorites for '08, and the Red Wings are the best team in the NHL...again. However, you got us beat when it comes to an NFL team. The Lions are woefully awful and will continue to be until they're shoveling dirt onto old man Ford's casket.

I'll be rootin' for the G-men in this one. But there's no chance.....the Pats are a team of destiny this year.

Sorry, man. You missed the point. The Yankees have been the most hated team in MLB (and the Cowboys in the NFL) for a long time. Now that the Boston has won the World Series twice (with a payroll second only to the Yankees) and the Patriots have won the Super Bowl a hundred times or so, Boston and New England are the most hated teams in MLB and the NFL.

IOW, Boston and New England get the title of "most hated" in their leagues, not New York and Dallas.

I just wish they play to a 0 - 0 tie and both QB's go down. Nothing too serious but certainly done for the day. I can't stand pretty boy Brady and his POS coach but being a Skins fan it's hard to root for the G-men.

Too bad the Packers fell - I could get behind a good ole ass whopping by Favre and the Pack over pretty boy and gang.

Oh well, I'll root for a sloppy, poorly played game by Brady and Eli. Here's to a 3 int day and sprained ankle for each..... And hopefully my football pool numbers come in....
