      Project "DEMON" update

Well back when I bought this demon I thought it would be pretty neat . Now after tearing into this car I know its going to be BADASS!!
I am so excited to see this car come together and make some headway on the suspension. Once that is complete I pull put it on the back burner for a little and plan to show it at Year one and beat the snot out of it. Power Tour 08 is scheduled also.
After many 69 camaros its nice to change it up some. Althought my original plans have changed some and the cost of the car has definately increased I still have managed to keep it somewhat a low buck build considering all the 6 figures car we do.
I case you guys dont know what all this car is I will make a little run down.
I originally found this car at a friends house that deals with many mustang, It was just sitting there looking lonely and like no one had any love for it. It must have been love at first site with me and this bright green ugly car he says as I pull up a day later to load it up . " WHy" would you want to put a bunch of money into that " he says, LOL !!! I said you wait ....this will be a super cool car when I am done.
The original owner was restoring the car and was about 80% complete, it needed the interior finished and trim and some misc stuff and needed to have the motor plumbed and wired to run.
After trying to sell a 6.1 HEMI my buddy dropped off to us and it just sitting around I thought this was a perfect choice.
I was able to pick up this car and hopefully show someone you can find decent cars out there and convert them into the machines we all love and change some minds of those die hard "Mopar guys!! You see I have one of the best fabricators I have seen and guess what he is a MOPAR guy, damn people are strange I tell you . Its like a cult or something, LOL (Sorry Cole)
Well I now think I might have started the iniation of me joining this cult.
This car is turning out very cool to say the least .
Here are some parts we are using....this is all updated on my site at www.gforcedesignconcepts.com
71 Demon, slime lime green, completely rust free, We all cant beleive how nice the car is, original metal on the thing.
      06 Charger 6.1 HEMI 425 hp engine
Reily Motorsports front Altekations front frame, arm suspension, rack and pinion, flaming river column, tilt, Heavy duty sway bars, (no more torsion bars)
Reily Motorsports 4 link rear suspension
air ride complete system front and rear.
Wilwood 6 piston brakes in the front
Wilwood 4 pistons in the rear with parking brakes
Dana 60 rear, 35 spline, true trac, narrowed.
We went in and did our own mini tubs on the car up to the frame rails, this allows for a huge rear wheel.
CCW , shot peened black center wheels with Anodized Black inner and outer barrels, 18x12 in the rear and 18x9's in the front.
BFG G Force KDW tires,( finally they release those 335 rears), and damn they are cheap !
Right now I am stuck with what I want to do for a transmission and might just use the small block 727 trans till I decide 5 or 6 speed.
The engine electronics has me stumped also, not sure If I want to do the XV Motorsports carb conversion and cam or do something else, I wuld love to hang a single or twin turbo in the engine compartment but that in itself might take this somewhat budget build over the top .
Anyway thats enough of me ranting, here are some pics that I have now. I will update my site with new photos when we have more done.
Wheels are for test fitting only, not what I am using.

Looks great Jason, I was wondering how it was going.

You will be happy with the 6.1L. 727 should survive behind it,just make sure you build it loose. Would be alot happier with a TKO or T56.

I say stay F.I. Do some crazy intake on it with 6 pack TB's. Or maybe a crazy Mopar cross rams.

Keep it FI, Jason. That's going to be a great car. Hopefully it makes it out to Pigeon Forge.

That's gonna be an awesome car.........(a little biased, similar build). RMS is a good company to deal with.

What backspacing/offset did you go with for the front wheels??

      BILL says a 8" WITH 5.75 bs, I went with a 18x8.5 with a 6.25
The wheel in the pic is a 9" , it would work also but it is 19" , the tie rod would come in contact with the wheel in a 18". CCW doesnt make the classic style wheel in a 19" . I went with a 245/40/18 tire.

Maybe I missed it,did you deside on a trans yet?Auto. or Man,?Are you going to modify the engine at all? That would really determine what engine management I would run.Jason, did you get my PM?,my computer locked right when I sent it,didn't know if it went thru or not.Ron
