getting started

working on a a project- iwas starting with controls
trans- pedals seats, steering wheel,
well when i was going to swap in a new pedal set- it appears it won't be bolt in.
it seem iwill have to fab a new box to bolt them into.
where to begin?
how do you even start a project? (it isn't typical it is a volvo)

i dropped my tools and gear and feel totally overwhelmed.

waht do i do to start?
