This is what concerns me. I'm planning for a bigger cam, intake and head mods in the future, but for now I just want to make sure this thing is ok to run at WOT without going lean. (I REALLY need a wideband O2 or EGA) I don't want to spend money on tuning or dyno time just yet,(saving for paint) so I'll take it easy on her for now.

The engine runs well . At 60 psi. vac. regulated to 47psi @ idle, but it does "smell fat" (dating myself LOL) at cold start up. Seems to clean up at hot idle (no EGR?) runs well going down the road, and pulls strong @ WOT.

Any additional thoughts on this? Should I just look for a compromise between 58 and 68 psi? Am I just OCD'ing on this too much?

      Thanks, Mark

Can you elaborate on this some more? Are you saying that your fuel pressure regulator is hooked to a vacuum sourse?

Yes, vac. regulated, as well as adjustable. (30-70 psi) F/wall mounted, and readings were taken at regulator.

Stock LS1 EFI systems do not have a vacuum referenced FPR. I would disconnect the line. At the very least spend the money on a mail order tune and stop being ocd about it...LOL

Better yet, save some money and buy EFI Live or HP Tuners. Learn how to tune and save yourself a bunch of money in the long run.
