      Low-Budget Pro-Touring '69 Chevelle Project

      My '69 malibu is currently a slow, comfortable cruiser, with a stock 77 chev p/u 400sbc, TH-350, and 10-bolt 3.08 posi with 4/wheel discs.

      I have a wrecked low-mile 95 caprice 9C1 donor car, that I'm swapping the LT1/4L60E from.

I'm building a whole new chassis for the malibu, so that I can keep the car driveable while I slowly save money and make progress on the mods.

So far I have a boxed frame. Next, will be front-suspension. I'm beefing up the stock LCAs and installing poly bushings. I'm using the "tall spindles" and 12" brakes from the caprice. UCAs will be "Pole Positions" adjustables with rubber bushings, and I'm hoping to be able to afford QA1s. I'm currently running a 1-1/8" sway-bar, and plan to continue using that.

Rear suspension is undecided yet. I'm thinking about the UMI stuff.

      Thanks for the compliments!

The color is "Dark Cloisonne Metallic", I forget the paint code, but it's a '94-96 Corvette color.

The mirrors are from a 92-99 Buick LeSabre. They fit perfectly, and only require drilling holes in the doors to mount them.
