      1970 SS Pro-touring Chevelle

Been active over at Chevelles.com for some time, just getting into gear here.

Thought I would say hi, and post a few pics of my ride...

Since this picture was taken, I have moved to 17x8 front Wheels and 18X10 rear, with Nitto radials. plus a Covans dash with a complete selection of Autometer Cobalt Guages

I have also added Koni shocks, Eibach springs, and UMI upper rear control arms.

The car has a 454 with 990 heads, solid roller cam and a Edelbrock RPM shiny manifold. I added a TKO-600 in august, as well.

I am having the 12 bolt narrowed by 2 inches next week, and will be running Touring Classics C5 brakes front and rear. At the same time I am rebuilding the front suspension with DANA components...

Future plans include working over the body and paint, possible 496 short-block and EFI.

      Thanks for listening

      Joe

pics of the covan insert? Was your dash originally sweep? How hard was it to get to fit nice?

      Covan Insert

I have just gotten the 3 3/8 tach after determinong I could not make the 5" fit.

THe covans insert slides in nicely once the sweep speedo is out - bit I am definitely going to have to do something to make it look less like plastic...

Will try to get some photos this evening...

Thanks for all of the replys.

I love those Chevelles. My next project will be one of those or a 55. Keep us updated on any changes!
