Mono leaf rear with Multi leafs

I am buying a 67 rear with mono perches to use in my 68 with multi leaf springs.

Can I bolt it right in? I have read it is a good idea to use the DSE kits, but is it absolutly needed?

      Thanks,

      JEFF

I'm not sure if they bolt in, but here is some info I found on the perches courtesy of David Pozzi.

you dont have to have it but it is a safety kinda kit they have aluminum spacers that keep the leafs from shifting around I see jacked up trucks all the time with just the leafs and blocks without any kind of spacers like the DSE kit supplies but to me it dont look safe. I just got one from DSE Im going from mono to multi as well.

Thanks for the replies. So the single leaf springs are wider than the multi? I did not know that.

No, mono's are 2.75" wide and thin on both ends and 2.25" wide and thick in the middle!

Whereas multi's are 2.5" wide and of the same thickness stacked leave's..
