Wow, that's pretty scary! I asked one of the guys at Heidt's if an LS-1 would fit and he immediately said yes, but I have very little confidence that they've tried anything besides a sbc.
Do you have any pictures of the mock engine installed? Hopefully block huggers will provide enough clearance for the steering shaft!!

Here is the TCI System in a current EBAY ad..It is a very nice system...And WOW, I think this car is too cheap for buy it now...Perhaps it dont look too good in person..I know the Buy it Now price dont mean crap...But, I have seen people demand alot more for lesser cars....He may be about right on his figure....

I guess the chevy bow-tie exhaust tips, dual quad carbs, braided radiator hose covers and Auto Zone diff covers just don't bring the same money they did in the 90's....

See here for a discussion of the heidts and TCI subframes.

Makes Vegas' sub look like a heck of a deal for someone

Ha ha...I didnt like the bow tie exhaust either...I was just stating that there have been several cars of lesser quality on there with a higher buy it now price...

All, those little cheaper details can be replaced fairly easily...It is the hard and time consuming stuff I am talking about...I think He just gave up on it at the end...That would be extreme top dollar in this case, but He isnt as far out of hand as alot of other people...

Hey Vegas, bring on the pics of that sub. I would like to see it. I'm pretty set on an aftermarket frame though, but ya never know? I'm more turned off by Heidts each day. I'm starting to believe that they didn't put as much thought into it as they say.
On another note, are there any aftermarket subframes that accept a STOCK LS1 oil pan? Just curious. I noticed that Martz has a setup specifically for the LSx motors.

P.S. those bow tie tips are gay. Spend about a grand on that car and it would be totally not gay.

I have the LS6 in the 68 I am building...The long tube headers literally slide right in from the top...You can have them in place with all the bolts started in about 5 minutes....WOW I was pretty impressed with that..I have installed some headers before, and I will say short of my 1967.5 Datsun Roadster they are the easiest....

I was just on the the late Boyd Coddington's web site and noticed that he was using the TCI clip on a project 69 camaro.
I figured it would have had Art Morrison for sure...

there street rodders not pro touring, street rodders make things work whether designed or not,and they do function, just not nearly as good as it could be. pro touring guys want late model supercar performance and design.

Have you not seen there AD in Hot Rod and all the magazines..? I had crossed the track test results they did with a 1969 Camaro (TOYO Steet Tires) with the 2008 Corvette...According to there results, the 2008 Corvette and 1969 Camaro were very close if the Camaro didnt out perform...The Camaro would pull more G in the turns(Corvette will not), Out perform in braking distance(Not sure at what position the Camaro was in, but the distance was shorter none the less.....haha, And it would out perform the Vette in the quarter mile with a stated 350 rear wheel horse for the Camaro..

There should be a way to verify those results, I would think..And I am curious as too what the conditions were...But, most of the stats they give are with steetable tires...If you find anything different I would like to know...I am extremely happy with the quality of the set up I have...Nothing looks too lightly made or questionable...Perhaps one of the only issues I have is Some of the bushings they use...

Plus, It looks absolutely great....Sleek and Custom looking, unlike the tired old bulk of the other original style subframes...
