      camaro atomic

Not to much progress but with Christmas over work will slow down and I can now get some stuff done and start posting progress pictures again. I have one thing I have held off on the intake. Today I saw the new nelson manifold WOW glad I waited before getting the hogan intake. What do you guys think of the new manifold? He has a great reputation and I think it will fit under the ss hood. I will check with him and if it will work I have to order one.

Car looks great! But I have a slightly off topic question...

Is that a portable AC unit against the wall in the 2nd picture? I was thinking of getting one for my garage, how well does it work? How did you exhaust it?

      Thanks,
      Nick

nick it is a 10,000 btu and can be vented thru window with the kit it came with or you can cut hole in wall with same kit. It has a 3/4 tube out the back side that can be extended to drain further away. The grille in the wall is a gas furnace behind wall. My wife thinks I nuts but it helps with condensation to keep it around 60 degrees. It cools the garage easy. If you look at the manifold you can see what was happing proir to hvac.

Great looking 68. That manifold is killer and I think would be a great addition to your project. Do they make a version for the Big Block? Or even yet is there a version for the LS motors?

Where did you get the RS Grille? Looks killer...

Man, your grill looks sweet. Is that aftermarket or did you paint it to look like that?

Well I have most of the wiring done expect sensors for the gauges and it all works. I ended up using three bulk packs and one 20 sq pack of the Dynamat but still a little short. It looks like a quick thing to do but it takes a while. It’s going to be about four more weeks for the intake but nelson racing sent me some pictures below of how its going. I checked out the audio and might go with Boston acoustics spz for the front, jl w8-7 for the rear, and two jl amps and stick with a basic radio to many buttons drive me nuts. After looking at the lower body rs molding on I took it off it just looks out of place so I have the filled when it redone. I can not decide where to use the original console or not. Vintage air will be a last thing to do and I’m not to familiar with it. Now for the fun part interior and headliner!
It’s going slow but get there soon.

Here are some update photos. The nexus pod is built into the center console. The engine is at nelson racing where he is installing the intake and tuning it.
