      66 Mustang wheel options

Trying to help a friend out with some wheel options but his criteria are making it extremely difficult to accomplish.
      Car: 66 Mustang
Brakes: Front: Granada disc upgrade Rear: stock drums
He would like to keep stock type and size wheels but 14 inch steelies with hubcaps will not fit over ther the disc hub in the front. So...any ideas and if so pictures or websites would be greatly appreciated. I think I can get him to 15 inch but I definately could not get him to 17's, to much purist in him.

      Thanks,

      Bruce

Use the Granada steel wheels and get new hubcaps depending on the style of his current caps he may be able to get the same thing that fits a 15. http://www.hubcaps.org/mustang.html

Give up on the purists, they're lost causes.
No really though, see if he would go for the Torque Thrust D's like Steve McQueen had in 'Bullit'. They are at least "period correct" and look good on Rustangs.

If he were to get later model 14" OEM Ford steel wheels, the hub hole would be large enough to fit the Granada rotors, and his original hub caps should still clip on.

      cheers

You can't go wrong w/ these Vintage Wheel Works 45's, they have sizes 15-17 plus a bunch of Mustang pictures on their website as well.

Torq Thrust D's would be cool, I agree.

I so wish I could get him into to some Torque Thrust D's or vintage wheel works! I will let know about the later year wheels with larger hub hole.

Thanks and keep the ideas coming.
