Does anybody sell a front eye spring kit for chevy style springs (other than the Global west CAT5 kit which is way too pricy)? Or, is there a Chrysler equivalent spring that would fit well? It looks like the 20231XHD would be just about right, except I don't know how wide the springs are or how long they are? Or maybe a spring company would put a chrysler-diameter front eye on a camaro spring?

Seems like with AFCO parts you could just about duplicate the CAT5 for about half the price. Has anybody acheived this?

      Good info!
The first step of becoming a better driver is to attend a track event, time yourself, and realize the fact you really suck.

Yea, one story I plan on doing is a pro-con comparison between modified leaf, 4-link, 3-link and truckarm rear suspensions. Part of it will point out how well a well done leaf spring rear suspension can perform. Sure, it's not as exotic as the others but it sure is the best bang-for-the-buck.

Great Site! Thanks for the link

      Hey Steve,
      That would be great!
It would also be cool to do the same for front suspension...A shoot out..
Start stock... add shocks...test...add springs ...test...add control arms...test...
And compare a tricked out factory sub frame car to one's using a aftermarket front subs...Find out if it is really worth all that extra coin.

I have a road test from a 1970 Trans Am...
And with F60 15 Goodyear polyglass tires it pulled .8 G's on the skid pad.
Good rubber has come a long way since then...
