I installed it on my 67 camaro BBC. Previous owner said he never drove the car in the rain so he didn't need wipers LOL. He was nice enough to give me two stock motors that he new wouldn't fit!

Installed in minutes and it well made. The delay wipers are nice to have.

I have the DSE wiper motor on my El Camino and because it always seems to rain when I decide to drive it, I say the money was very well spent. Before the DSE wipers, I was better off using Rain X than the stock wipers!

Have it on my car too (DSE used my Chevelle as part of their design process). Nice piece, and having that kind of speed flexibility and dependability when driving circumstances aren't the best is nice to have.

I have it on my 68 and love it. It is nice having more than 2 speeds when driving in the rain. It is very easy to install and cleans the firewall up (compared to the original style motor).

Does the new rotory switch that comes with the kit allow you to use the factor knob or retain the factor appearence in the car?

You won't be able to use the stock knob. The DSE knob is billet and resembles the stock piece, but since it's rotory, it will be turned a little when it's in the off position. It won't be straight up and down like the stock knob.

It will depend on how your stock one looks/works. I did use the stock knob in my Chevelle, with some mods to it. It's been a while but I seem to remember that the spring loaded washer button in the middle of my stock knob ending up getting epoxied in place since I removed the washers from my car. That gives it the stock look. There is no vertical orientation of the knob in my car to be considered. Other than that it's simply a matter of attching it to the stem of the switch with the stock set screw.

      Chad,

Did you see mine on Sunday? I can't remember why but for some reason I could not easily and reliably adapt the stock knob. One day I may polish the DSE part to make it a bit more stealthy.

I've eyed the motor under your hood but haven't checked out the knob. How did you run the wiring harness for it Carl? I'm guessing I have to drill another hole in the firewall for it?

If your intrested in getting any thing from DSE I would suggest you join http://www.gpsuperstore.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6 and get 5% off on ordered under 500 and 7-10% on orders over 500...its is free to join and works good. I saved $15 not a ton but adds up and does not take any longer (used them for a Ricks fuel tank too)

I think the discount goes through the end of the week

Yep, one hole. If I re-wire the car I'll incorporate it into the firewall harness like stock. I did not want to pull a bunch of the car apart to do it with the stock harness.

I was able to squeeze mine through an existing hole. I also polished the nob (no pun intended) The money was not that big of a deal (loard knows I wasted more on less) but the fact that I have two stock motors sitting there burns me a little.

I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but the posts got me to thinking. Has anyone used the DSE wiper motor with a standard switch that is part of GM column on the turn signal? I have a tilt column from a 2nd Gen Firebird with the switch on the column. I'd like to use the switch and eliminate the dash mounted switch.

Any ideas if it can be done?
