      tech 9 camaro fires up!!

Well, it's been a while since I posted here. Just been working like a dog trying to get it finished. Here's some pics from the Woodward cruise back in august where we just rolled it out of the trailer. It wasn't plummed or wired and had half of an interior but it was a good time none the less. Amazing how many people didn't even realize it wasn't finished! Actually had people asking how I shifted it! Anyway, since then the plumming is all done and the wiring is very close to being finished. We did get it to the point where we could start it though. That was a great moment! Very exciting, especially when it fired right up the first time and no leaks! Already have made some changes. The intake tube is all one piece and we moved the mas up to the throttle body, which also eliminated the rubber sleeve. Much, much cleaner look. Also having the front corner of the engine cover that was originally cut out for the stock alternator filled in to cover the corner. That was something that was just overlooked in the chaos of trying to get it out to Woodward. Possibly going to the Chicago show at the end of January, but definately will be at the Detroit Autorama in March in the ISCA display. Here's a few pics and a link to the video of it running. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHpnpknbKDA

Man, too bad I didn't see your car @ Woodward this past year but its near impossible to see em all!

What part were you parked along? I saw everything from the Batmobile to Ferrari's but I was disapointed at the number of Pro-Tourers I was able to find.

Thanks! The stripe and tail panel are painted to look like carbon fiber. It's all under the clear.

I was parked at Uncle Ed's oil change, just north of Dugin's. There was about 5 of us from Lateral-g there, including Stielow's Camaro X.

Yep, drooled all over this one back in August. You guys have to see the stripes and tail panel...looks like real carbon fiber. Amazing. Sounds awesome too. Jeff did you put a Katech cam in that LS7? I can't remember. By the way, did Trush ever unload the bubbletop? I sent him a Lotus Notes at work to inquire and never heard back from him. He either forgot or it's just too top secret. LOL!!!

Thanks for the update. Can't wait for Autorama.

Hey Tony, yeah it's a Katech cam, springs, retainers, and diamond pushrods. Hopefully get over 500 to the wheels. Yes, Jeff did sell the b-top. It was quite a story, I'll fill you in on the details when I see you, but basically it was sold twice and it is headed to Thailand! See you at Cobo!

Is Tech 9 the official name? If so, that has to be the coolest project name I've ever heard. The car looks fantastic, btw.

Thanks! The Dash is still coming together. I'm building a custom center console as we speak that goes almost to the top of the dash. I'll show all that when it's done. Probably in a couple weeks.
