      fiberglass hood

      anybody got any tips on removing a bow in a fiberglass hood? i really like my yenko hood but it leaves alot to be desired in the fitment

      didn't find too much just a bunch of complaints about unlimited products stuff not really how to fix the prob

      You can take the hood and place it on a couple of sawhorses and use a few sandbags in line with the bow so as to just eliminate it. Don't weigh it down so much that it bends the opposite way.

      You'll have to leave it in place for a week or so.

      When you use it again, remove the hinge springs when the car is not being shown or driven. Even with the light weight springs the hood will bow once again. On the yenkos we restore at our shop, we usually have to replace the original hoods due to being warped very much and cracked.
