      Pro-Touring 1960 Impala

      Hi Group.

      Here you find me e-mailing you to tell everyone that I am building a pro-touring 60 Impala BubbleTop and it will have a ZZ572 crate engine with a Edelbrock Dual Quad Intake and two Thunder Carbs and Billet Specialties True Track Serpentine system also the engine will be dressed up in Billet Specialties valve covers and air cleaner the engine will put out 720hp. The suspension will be by Hotchkis. The rear end will be from Currie and the transmission will be a TKO-600 5 Speed with Overdrive from Tremec. My question is I want to know what tires will fit. I want to use Billet Specialties 20" Stalletoes but on the rear I want it a little wider tire with out tubbing it. I will be using Bear Serious Street brakes. I look foward in hearing from anyone. Thank you.

      Sincerly.

      On the 60 Impala you can run a 20x10 rear with 5.75 B/S with your brake system. Tires 295/40/20 if you want 20s on the front use a 20x8 with a 5.00 B/S Tires 245/40/20. The 59-60 Impalas have huge rear wheel wells you may want to consider runnung a 22/20 you can use the same B/S.
      Hope this helps

      Cool choice of intake.

      I'm building a 68 Camaro with a 632 BBC and just got my polished Edelbrock dual quad and Endura Shine 600 CFM carbies...

      Car still 12 months from completion but love the look of the dual quads out the hood with a Hilborn scoop...

      Oh and love the bubbletops....keep us posted on progress

      Cool...love to see yet another bubble on here (have both '60 and '61 bubbles here). I have 18x9 w4.5" backspace (274/40/18 tire) on the '61. no room to go out any, but at least 2" on the inboard side. height of the tire is not a problem at all. Your 20's will look good in there. and of course, I gotta add;

      welcome aboard.

      Dear. PRRC.

      Please explain the 22/20 fitment to me. I also failed to to tell you that the tires I want are BFGoodrich G-Force KDWs. I like the snakeskin tread on them. I look foward in hearing from you. Thank you.

      Tim's helping you with the wheels, so I'll over our services for the Baer kit if you need a vendor. Just let us know!
      I can tell you, I love Impala's with BIG wheels. Here's a photo of my old car with 20's and 22's.

      By 22/20 he meant 22's in the rear and 20's in the front, like the car in the pictures posted.
