      Newbie here

Hey guys, I'm new to the board--hope this site doesn't discriminate against Japanese cars. I purchased my Nissan 300ZX TT last spring, and I'm currently modifying it for auto-X and high-speed handling. I'm currently a college student, and I work part time. Naturally, I've got a limited budget, so getting my Z up to my 500rwhp goal with a full suspension build will take a couple years. Right now, I've got several bolt-ons. I've done just about everything I can do to the Z's engine and tranny without pulling the motor. Next spring and summer, I look forward to doing a partial suspension build (6pt. rollcage to come in a couple years) and modifying the engine and transmission to the tune of 450rwhp. I found this site on google, and was instantly attracted by the fact that it caters to a specific niche of car modifications which I am especially interested in. I very much look forward to exchanging opinions and information with other members of this board.

Welcome to the site! I don't think you'll find too many descriminating members here; after all, the way you're building your car, is the way we build ours. We all want bigger brakes, better handling, and more power. Many of us are on a limited budget (like me!) so we do what we can. Good luck with your project, don't forget to post some pics!

If it's a TT and it's in good shape, I'd tell you to go for it. In all honesty though, you might have better luck purchasig a Z car from a private owner than from a dealer.
