      Staggering tire/wheel combo

Has anyone seen, or know someone who runs a 15" front and 17" rear tire/wheel combo? I picked up 2 torq thrust D 15x7 for pocket change and was considering running a larger rear wheel, possibly a 16 or 17? I was wondering how it would look. I may sell the 2 15s and buy 4 new larger wheels. Any info? They will be going on my 68 Firebird. thanks

I wouldn't do it. If you run big brakes the 15's won't fit. Also a 15 and 17 combo will look funny unless you have a prostreet type car where you can fit a 29" tire. Most 15's have a 25" to 26" tall tire, so you would need a 28" to 29" tall tire for the 17's and there's not many options for those heights. Just get all 15's or all 17's IMHO.

I've seen it. Looked horrible IMO.

      A 2 inch stagger on an 18 and 20 looks fine, but not a 15 and 17.

Staggering is usually left for 18 inches and up.I believe you could pull off a 17 and 19 combo but nothing smaller

Thanks for the input. I just traded for some nice aluminum wheels that I will be installing and posting pics of soon.
