      Does Anyone Know Old Lamborghinis?

      I found this today
      ebay auction

It reeks of scam (I don't think Minnesota is a desert) but the car itself caught my attention. I'm curious as to what the going rate for one of these is since they're one of the "forgotton" Lambo's, and I'm curious as to their performance. There's relatively little information out there for them, at least that I could find in 10 minutes of searching.

On a sidenote, #6198 (the model in question) was last reported as being in MI according to lamborghiniregistry.com, so maybe the pics were taken on vacation? And on another sidenote, is anyone local to the car that would be able to take a look at it to see if it's for real?

Wow, zero feedback makes my warning buzzer sound. Looks like a cool little ride though... and it has a back seat.

Many thanks, Tony! I've seen people doing that for years and it drove me up the wall trying to figure that one out. (that's what I get for never searching for help)

Are you the same Fawkes I remember from gmvsford.com?

But yeah, seems like a big ticket item to put up for the first time on ebay, but considering most of these guys steal ebay usernames for this stuff who really knows? I'm hoping to find a local to check it out, but I suppose the "can I come take a look" email usually fishes them out pretty quick. He does accept payment by cash in person, so who knows?

farm tractors are the first Lamborghinis. Gotta love a guy who says I can build badass cars too and goes out there and does it.

That depends... was the person you remember a d*ck or uber cool? j/k It may have been me, but I may have used Fyrbyrd80 there. It's been a LONG time since I even thought about that site. I liked the gmvsford.com concept.

The more that I look at it, the more I'm liking Islero. But now the price has jumped to over $30k.

Yup, Feruccio started out in the tractor business, and this was one of the first car's he ever made after turning away from tractors to make cars.

That is a great looking car! I'll it over my Camaro

I remember you being ok...lol I remember your avatar more than anything since it stuck in my head for some reason. But that was a long time ago! The site was cool but it's since been taken over by one of the admins and it's a borderline ricer site now called reklessracing.net. A few of the old guys are still there and they made me a moderator so I stick around.

About the Islero, yeah it's creeping way out of my price range. I did some more research last night in regards to pas sales and found one old for sale ad asking for $90k. I'm guessing this ebay auction must be missing a "0" in the "Asking only $9800." Bummer for me, I'd trade my Mustang in a heartbeat for this! I guess I better keep dreaming since "affordable Lamborghini" is a pretty big oxymoron.

Aceshigh- Nice call on the tractor. Does it haul ass too? lol

current bid only shows $7100? I hit reload and nothing. I'd like to watch this thing go. What am I doing wrong?

Something is very fishy about this whole thing. This is the third time in 2 days that the auction has had a whole bunch of bids deleted and the bid goes down to virtually nothing. I've been watching too because it's really leaving me wondering, wtf?

Maybe the auction had too many bogus unverified bidders and the
auctioneer decided to restart it with only certified bidders ???

I'm sure it was a scam. Seeing they guy never replied to any of my offers to buy it in person and the cars normally sell for 10x what he's asking, I'm sure it was bogus. Very odd though, I'll have to keep watching ebay to see if something pops up again.
