Power Steering The Easy Way??
At the moment I am running a man. S10 box on my Gbody. The car had power steering when I bought it but the box was wiped out and the pump and bracked were for a v6 Buick.
So, here is the question. I need an in-expensive way to put power steering back on the buick. I will need a box, lines and pump with bracket. I currently have a SBC with electric waterpump and March alt mount for the setup. I can get the matching march brackets for the power steering but I dont know what pump I will need. Then I just need a quick ratio box and lines.
Any input would be a great help.
Jeff
ps. I would like to run new or rebuilt components

I'm with you man! I'm in the same boat.
12-03-2007 #4All this depends on what lower pulley you have. Long, short, serpentine, or v belt. Do you want the old style pump? or the new style? The older saginaw pumps last forever, but need to be spaced farther forward to fit. Also that depends on if you are going to get a rebuilt steering box with the stock flared lines, or a newer style with the o-ring fittings.
