      Newbie from NW FL

Hey all, I just made up my mind to register and actually begin posting in here, as I have been lurking for about a year or so...

I own a 67 Mustang coupe, and had planned on something a bit different back in 2004. I wanted to clone a Titus Trans Am Coupe. Well, cash flow was keeping me from working on the car, and it has sat in the garage gutted since Nov 04. I was glad to see many others go the same route, yet somewhat annoyed, as I thought I was going to be "original". HAAHAH. It is now getting media blasted on a rotisserie, and when it gets back, I am going to paint and install my brand new front and rear suspension. Nothing cosmic. Shelby Drop, SSBC Brakes,620 springs, adjustable shocks, huge sway bar up front; and 5 leaf, reverse eye springs, adj shocks, and sway bar out back. Then, there is the brake vents to work in there somehow.

Still working out things like wheel size. I want the widest I can use without modifying the car...too many options out there...

Engine is in the works as well. Shooting for a 550-600 HP 347 Stroker.

Trans. I have a built C5, that I WAS going to use for drag racing, but, not sure I can use it on the tracks. Might go 5 speed manual.

Rear End, FOR NOW is the old 8 inch, with 4.11:1, (again, I intended on using this for a drag car) and a mini spool. Stock Brakes out back.

I am sure there are going to be 1,000 different things going through my head during the build, so I will drop in from time to time to ask questions, or confirm my thoughts. Thanks in advance, see you on the track!!! JL

      Ray at www.Stripmasterspor15.com

quoted $6-700 for the rotisserie blasting, and another $6-700 for epoxy priming. Not a bad price, I have seen much worse. I'll post pics of it when I get it back.

I'm glad to see your using Ray.... He is a stand-up guy.... I'll be taking the Camaro to him in pieces over the next couple of months to get it all blasted.

I saw you mention a few front suspension changes, but have you considered switching to roller spring perches for the front? They allow full travel of the suspension easier and improve the ride quality substantially.
67 Mustang Coupe, lots of ideas but, no money to execute them.
