      Wake up America

      Wake Up America!!!

It's gonna get moved probably but I figured I'd try to get as much exposure
in here because it IS George Carlin, and we ALL Love Carlin's tasteful display
      of reality and humor.

It's not a 1 sided view on Politics, it's about Freedom, and that really isn't about Politics. (That's my justification for it):p

It's now in my Signature as well it's that good. ;)

Sorry. I like Carlin but he's wrong. The big corporation do want smart people working for them, they do want highly educated employees, and they do not want lemmings. Don't believe me? Then tell me why they go to other countries that have smarter workers that have much higher education standards. It's not only because it saves them money. It gets them smarter employees that are willing to work way harder than most americans. Don't even begin to kid yourself and say the public education system in this country is fine and the kids graduating high school are the smartest yet. I'm in college now with all these kids yet I am 10 years older than them. They are dumb as bricks for the most part. They were taught the answers and not how to find them or how to think. Memorizing answers does not make you smart.

Politicians are the ones who do not want you to be smart not a company owner. You can see it every time a law is passed forcing a parent to send their child to government school and only government school. You can thank the teachers unions for screwing your child over. My children will not go to public school unless I happen to be in a place that has an excellent system which is very few and far between. My cars will sit on blocks or be sold and I will drive a trashed out buick in order to pay for a private education. My children will learn to think for themselves and will not be taught the answers.

Still think I am wrong? Why not ask the business owners that are here. There are a number of them on here and I am sure they will be happy to tell you want they truly want. Myrmidons are not who they seek.

Wrong. It gets them 60 hours a week of work for the same pay as 10 hours of comparable American work. It also gets them huge tax breaks on income generated in said places that are of such substantial figures that our government turns a blind eye to it. So, as a business owner, let me figure this out, more work for less pay at a lower tax rate. Hmm. What would I do...

I figured that would be the response I get for that line. Lets dig deeper. The tax system in this country is a burden and counter productive. It punishes the exact type of excellence we need. So what would you do as a business owner faced with huge over head costs?

As for the workers, americans are lazy, period. Because standards have been lowered so greatly you have to employ more americans to do the job that really less people should be doing. This is most evident in any government work. Next time you pass a work zone were work is being performed by a local municipality, count the number of guys working compared to those standing there. The next time you pass a private contractor doing work, usually paving roads, count the number of guys standing there doing nothing. I can promise you the private company does not have workers doing nothing. If they do, they are not a good company. Affirmative action and anti discrimination laws have ensured that the best person for the job will not necessarily be the one you have to hire. Too bad the people laws like that were supposed to help get harmed the most by it. Instead of being elevated and looked upon as the same, they are forced into a sub group with a title on it.

My friend made a comment recently and it fits here. Americans deal with the consequences instead of trying to fix the cause. You want jobs to come back to this country, get the government out of the free market and do something about this hideous tax system. You want smarter americans that work harder, get the politics and the self esteem BS out of education. Take the dumb kids or kids that don't care and put them in a separate class room from the kids that are smart and care. Stop forcing everyone to cater and work at the lowest denominator and you will have excellence. Tell unions to take a hike and stop supporting politicians that cater to unions. In the end all they want is for you to be dependent on them so that you will keep them in power. Unions guarantee work to the lowest denominator in too many instances. Yes, there are those that do good, but they are far out weighed by those that do not. Stop teaching group think and teach individualism and you will have excellence.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE AS AMERICANS CHANG OUR WAY OF THINKING! eg. find a vaccine for a cold vs. inventing 1 million pills to treat the problem. just an example

I take it you're not voting for Hilliary>>>lol..Many US companies are sending a lot of their jobs to India and the like. It is cheaper, but it is also because the employees give a damn. Politics and bussing has put our less fortunate and minority kids in the same schools as our more fortunate ones. Has that brought the level of the less fortunate up or the more fortunate down. From my observation, i think the latter. It's the rotten apple in the barrel proverb. When I was coming along before bussing, one of the main reasons you bought a house in a certain neighborhood was because of the schools in that particular area. You wanted your children to be around other kids that had the same lifestyle and interest in learning. Bussing stopped all that. I am astounded everytime I go to a store and hand some kid money to pay for something and they can't even count change or figure a discount. Even college kids..We can't even say the Lord's Prayer in Schools or display In God WE Trust but we can make a Muslim Stamp to put on our mail..Vote against English being our national language..I don't like talking to anyone from India when I want to make a reservation or call customer service. But I do understand and see why Corporate America is doing it. The free enterprise system is going to seek the best, most effecient and cheapest way of accomplishing something...unless the govt. gets involved.

It sucks! The school system is a freaking joke. A friend's step kid is going to pass this year and he has only been to school about 20 days so far this year. The school has already told him that he would graduate, and he is gettin a F in every freaking class! The school just wants the tax credit for having a "passing student"! They don't want smarter kids, they could care less. Not saying that there are not good teachers, I would prolly guess that most teachers DO care, but their hands are tied by the system and the government. I mean seriously, kids spitting on, cussing out, hitting sometimes, and almost everything else to teachers. And the freaking system keeps the kids in there because they don't want to "break thier spirit"!! BREAK THEIR A$$ES!!
The government wants us to be a bunch of welfare junkies (ie...Socialisim) so they can "take care of us" since we are not smart enough to take care of ourself! ARRRGGHHHH!!!!
      And about the work situation..!!!!!...!!!!!

Sorry, got a little carried away! LOL! I guess it is still the best place to live on the planet! LOL!

Even with all our issues this is still true. I've thought about leaving, I really have, but there's no place else on earth we can live this way. We must be careful though as it could change and we must pay attention because it won't happen over night. It will be slow and steady. I feel it's started and it needs to be stopped.

Personally I've been to Canada and Australia and I'd have to disagree
with that particular statement myself. As a matter of fact Canada is
getting the same Real estate boom that we did in 2001+ right now....
Granted, taxes are higher, and so is gas.......but at least there's a free healthcare system
unlike ours where 20% of our population roughly 46 million go without any coverage.
Many pay through the nose for it.....some $1,000 a month. ( I know at least 1 who does)

Oh.....and they do not tolerate lobbyists who contribute to campaigns for political favors
like we do here, they call it what it is.....payoffs. Anyone notice that the USD is sinking
in value quickly ??? Even Canada's is worth more then the USD currently.....that sucks for us.

I can totally agree with you there. Anyone who has tried to get anything done through the state
KNOWS that to be totally evidently true. The State takes FOREVER to accomplish anything.
But they want their money right away alright......can't manage the budget ??? Tax more...
No business in America would survive the way it's run....period.

      Question.
How can you say it's not the governments fault for jobs leaving when Clinton signed CAFTA
and Bush signed NAFTA and all trade tariffs have been vanquished, which is what protected
American workforce labor and manufacturing ??

I do agree with you about the tax system being screwed though. Everything else you said
about Equal opportunity and all the other comments I fully agree with you as well.
(except your comments about Corporations leaving the US to find more intelligent workers)
I think that's total BS, and I've seen it firsthand myself. I'm in the I.T. and Telecom industry.

Exactly, totally true IMO. It's also about fattening up those stock portfolio's for your investors.
You export manufacturing to save money, don't have the quality control that we require here,
and then you can make the products for 1/3rd or less and sell it for the same price and all
the extra savings doesn't get passed on to the consumer.....it's profit.
