Venting spent gases in an LS1....

Recently I had a talk with Jeremy Formato (he's porting my throttle body). For those who do not know he is a well reknown tuner and porter in the LSX universe. He had some interesting things to say about what to do and what not to do on an LS1. One of the things he talked about that I found intriguing was to forego venting spent gases back into the intake. In his opinion, you block off both inlets into the side of manifold and TB and just run a lenth of tube off of each outlet on the valve cover and intake valley. Let those length of tubes hang down behind the belt tensioner and wrap them together so they're not flailing about. The gases will vent to the outside underneath the engine. He said you might get and occasional drip of oil but that it's nothing.

Anyone else ever heard of this trick?

He also said it was beneficial to descreen the MAF.
