      Steering Wheel Ideas

Need some picture ideas for a sterring wheel for the 68'. I just added a tilt column to add some additional room for a larger driver (dad).....

I have an original style and size wheel and need to change it to something smalled diameter wise...

Just make a note that a small wheel with a quick box can be twitchy...

I think its new. The first one has been my favorite but I think this might be my new fave. Although I dunno about not having a round wheel. It might be dangerous.

      What wheels are you running?
I think it is cool when the wheels and steering wheel are similar.

Have you considered a quick release yet? I installed one so working under the dash is so much less uncomfortable and it makes getting in and out of the car also far easier. Specially when you have seats with high sides.

It also gives you the opportunity to bring the wheel a couple of inches towards you.

For my 88 LX, I followed a theme I liked in the fox body Saleens, that is a Momo wheel (Monte Carlo model I think?) to go w/ Flofit seats:

I have since fabbed an aluminum 1/8" bracket to hold the OE cruise control buttons, just below the wheel spokes like Saleen did. Came out nice!

I found my wheel and adaptor from Ebay supplier..there are some "authorized" Momo dealers, I got lucky and both the wheel and adaptor arrived without a hitch!

I got my MOMO and adapter from Frank at Prodigy- GP superstore. They're at SEMA now but Frank might chime in sometime if he sees this thread.
