Ouch, that hurt!
Just unwrapped my engine after having it shipped and found this nice gash (see attachment) on one of my AFR heads. I could just
.
It comes within about a quarter inch of an exhaust port, but isn't very deep. Do you think I'll have to resurface it or will the exhaust gasket hold.

Get a flat file lay it on there and lightly nock any high spots down and it should be ok, be carefull with the aluminum dont put that much pressure.
