      German Fog Machine

Last two days when I turn on the heat or defroster, after the car is fully warm, I get a mist coming out for the first 30 seconds or so. It fogs the inside windows up immediately which takes another 15 minutes to finally defrost off (I have to wipe some off just to see). Car is the daily beater (15 year old Audi).

This is the second winter I've had the car, but the first time I've ever experienced this problem in any car. Is this a matter of the weather conditions and all the planets aligning at one time, or do I have a problem? Thanks.

make sure the weep tube is clear, this has a tendancy to clog and it turns the plenum into a big bowl for condensation, If the steam is going away id suspect that, if it smells like coolant then get a new heatercore
