      Daily Drivers

I'm new, & I'm sure this has been covered before, but, How many of you guys drive your project cars to work everyday? Whenever my El camino's finished, I plan on driving it daily.

This was done a couple of months ago.

...My big block Camaro is driven daily. In fact I'll be driving it in the rain tomorrow, thanks to an awesome DSE wiper motor making it that much more enjoyable.

My nova doesn't leave the garage unless theres sunshine when I leave in the morning. Its still got the factory manual drums all around and BFG radial T/A's not the best in wet weather especially in SD Traffic. Not windshield wipers too. oh and the powerglide isn't the most fun on the highway. But when I'm feeling brave a couple days a week and I always drive on the weekend.

I drive my camaro almost daily except for snow. And snow would be okay but road salt is a no-no.

Theirs no snow in SouthEast Texas! Barely a winter. We have a summer and a mild winter (rarely gets below 25 deg)
The El Camino will have Global West control arms (front and rear) ZQ8 front brakes, ZZ4 with Proflo FI, 200R4, & 3:73's. Have any of you guys used the Global west stuff daily? I've already got most of my parts, I was just wondering how they hold up? I think it'll be a blast for a driver.

I drove my wagon daily in SoCal.

Once I got here to MN I blew it all apart and upgraded a lot of stuff. Now that it's on the road again I have every intention of driving it all summer.

I do need to add some things I didn't have while in SoCal though...like a heater, and windshield wipers. Neither has ever been hooked up since long before I got this car.

Luckily (ahem) I have all winter to sort them out...

I am contemplating dumping my current DD ('01 Olds Aurora 4.0) and going with something like a '70-'72 Cutlass/Skylark, or possibly some form of Mopar.

But that's my fantasy, I am not sure the 'rents would approve, especially me being isolated @ college 200 miles away.

In the summertime my 70 'Cuda is my only means of transportation. Daily driver. It's the only car I have. In the winter I store it and try to do Improvement/Upgrades on it.

I don't drive my 98 TA very often because while I love the car, it just isn't fun to drive. I'm swapping in a 6-spd and that may help, though.

When I finish the Bandit, I plan on driving it every chance I get!

For now I drive a 95 Park Avenue Ultra. :(

I am a contractor, so I have found it hard to haul building materials in the GTO. However, it gets driven at least every other weekend, Rain or Shine.

it might be a little hard to drive right now but I plan on driving the wheels off of it when it's done.
I'm actually thinking about selling the Subaru and finding an older truck I can pay cash for. I figure I can speed the process up by adding the money I pay out in a car payment to the camaro budget.
