The new Tremec is in...
how did I ever live without this transmission?
Yanked the engine and old M22 on Saturday.
Put in the new Lakewood shield (0.003 out of the box)
Bolted up the McLeod Street Twin Clutch.
Mated the new TKO600
And stuffed it all back in on Sunday.
Had a new 3.5" aluminum driveshaft with 1350 yokes made up today.
Drove around the neighborhood tonight at 9pm.
Going from a 2.2 1st to a 2.87 1st is like having 4.56s now!
I've got a few loose ends to tie up and then I'll get out on the highway and try out 5th gear!
For anyone considering a Tremec JUST DO IT!
BTW, I bought the McLeod offset shifter from 67 Bird (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ghlight=mcleod) who bought it from Chadmando who won it at a PT Dinner. So per Larry in this post https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...24&postcount=3
