      EFI fuel line sizing/material question

I am trying to decide what to use to complete the fuel system on my car and I am looking for some feedback on what to use/what not to use/what options do I have.

      Here's my setup:
Possibly 550 hp (at 7,000 rpm, in case it matters)
-6 fitting at outlet of fuel regulator
3/8" NPT female threads at fuel rail, output and return on tank
High pressure (65psi) Walbro 255lb/hr in-tank fuel pump

I intend to run hard line for as much of the run as possible, but I do need some flex line to the engine and to the tank, and I don't want to worry about fuel smell or line permeation.

If you are concerned with vapors than the only flex hose to consider is the one with a teflon inner liner. This hose is not as flexible but it will not be effected by gasoline in any way.

The push-to-connect hose isn't stinky in my experience. Very easy to work with as well. As far as standard braided stuff, my experience has also been that XRP braided hose has almost no odor. I used all XRP on my car and the garage does not smell of gas whatsoever. Way, way better than say Russels which *reeks* of gas.

As Andrew said if you don't want to take a chance of odor either use teflon lined braided hose or get an OEM kit and run plastic flex lines & quick-connect fittings.

As far as hardline, standard steel or annealed stainless are probably your best choices. I used aluminum hardline and have never had an issue but it is well supported with neoprene lined adel clamps to prevent any flex/abrasion/galvanic corrosion.

What size line did you go with?
What kind of hose is the "push-to-connect" hose? As in how do I make sure I am looking for the right product?

The problem I was running into with Teflon hose is that it might be too small. I don't think I've seen it larger than -6. I may have been searching incorrectly.
