Help on LS1 install in 69 camaro

Does anyone make headers that fit with the factory power steering sector? I`m getting ready to install a LS1 in a 69 camaro and was wondering if I have to modify anything on the subframe for clearance.
What all needs attention with this install? Who makes the best motor mounts for this swap?

      Thanks for any help,

      Kurt

You'll need to run Street & Performance motor mounts, headers & notched oil pan. www.hotrodlane.cc

Stainless Works now has headers that fit an LS1 with the factory steering box on 1st gen Camaros. I don't think they are listed in the catalog yet, but give them a call. http://www.stainlessworks.net/

      LS1 install

I had installed an LS1 in my 69 on a stock subframe and decided to change frames before I drove it. If you are interested I can make you a deal on the S&P block plates, prothane motor mounts and a custom crossmember I had made. I can also tell you what I did and what problems that I ran into.
