      first gen wipers?

I removed my wipers a while back and sealed up the are where the motor went, used a piece of aluminum and weathersealed it to the firewall.

I am packing up for the event at xv and want to make sure I have all the parts to reinstall the wipers in the event of rain (which the weather forecast is calling for).

Can anyone help me out with an exploded view drawing or photo so I know I have all the parts to reinstall them, and save me time figuring out what goes where? I want to either install them or pack up the parts and tools this am, its my only open window of time bofore the event.

      Thanks.

I don't have any pics, but there are only a few parts. The arms, the linkage rods with belcrank, and motor. There are 4 short screws that hold the rods to the cowl, and 3 long bolts that hold the motor to the firewall. The cowl panel needs to be off to get the rods in there so I'd do that before your trip. The motor is a simple deal so you could leave it off, until needed. The arms just push on so they could be left off too.

Not so simple, since I made a filler plate where the motor went and urethaned it on...oops. I am missing the little clip that attaches the motor and the arms.

Keep the Rain X handy. When I was a kid my first street car was a 68 Camaro and the wiper motor went, there was always something more important to spend money on (to a kid). At highway speeds the water will roll right up the window. I think if it rains we should all just go get rental cars for the day!

I installed them this am , what a pain. I had made an aluminum plate to fill the hole where the motor went and sealed it with urethane. That urethane is tuff stuff.
