      painting window trim?

      what process would i need to take to paint window trim, with rattle cans?
      i want to pain the trim from my 72 camaro's rear window
      thanks

      Rough the trim up with some burgundy Scotch-Brite. Wipe it down with a good wax and grease remover (Prep-Sol, Pre-Kleano, etc.) don't touch it with your bare hands after this.
      I would recommend SEM's Trim Black as your 1st choice in a rattle can. Goes on very smooth and has a nice satin sheen when done.

      I use the same technique as astroracer except using 600 grit wet or dry sandpaper to rough it up. Be sure to use the wax and grease remover before sanding to prevent grinding wax into the metal and just before painting. I also second the SEM trim black, I've had very good results with it.
