DSE RS headlight motors kill engine

I installed the DSE RS headlight motors, and they work great. Then I tried them with the engine on (LT1) and it dies instantly when the doors open. If I hold the rpm to 2000,then pull the lights on, it stumbles for a second, then runs fine. The weird part is, it does it again when I turn the lights off too.
I wired it up just the way the instructions said to. Its grounded well, and the motors/lights work perfectly with the engine off.

The DSE light brain is mounted to the brake pedal bracket ( just where the instructions said to put it) and the computer for the motor is about 2 feet away, on the trans tunnel. Could it be some kind of shielding thing? Its like the headlight brain kicks out a EMP that kills the LT1's PCM.

I'll call DSE, but just thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas.

I'm having a set of DSE motors put in as we speak. I have a 30 over 454 with no electronics except MSD box. Hope you find out what's causing your problem.

Are the motors and the power for the ECM on the same circuit?
If so check voltage on that circuit when the headlight motors are active and the engine is running.
I'll bet the headlight motors are causing a voltage drop that kills the ECM.
