With very VERY few exceptions the vendors on this site are fantastic. The majority of them take part in discussions about stuff they make/sell of course but they also chime in when they have technical info about stuff they DONT sell.

Frank, the ATS guys, Mark at L-D, Steve @ Twist, the CC5S guys, the Goodies guys, the SC&C guys and the guys at XV. Do a couple of searches. You'll find that each and every one of them has on more than one occasion recomended stuff made by COMPETITORS when the products they offer were not right for the application in question. That is class. That is looking out for each of our collective best interests and of the hobby as a whole.

Of course we have site sponsors who don't participate on the boards at all as well. That's ok too. Their $$ helps "keep the lights on" so to speak and allow for this forum to exist. So thank them as well.

We do have a couple of shills here and there. Tough to have a board this big w/o it.

Being that I'm one of the original members here I can say it's been a very wonderful journey watching the board grow over the years. I feel that there are more products being advertized on this board in the last 2 years or so, BUT you have to realize that most of these products would not have been developed had it not been for this board. It's a great place to get together and express ideas and learn. For a company owner they can quickly learn what their potentail market segment may look like and get instant feadback on product design/functionality.

With that being said I think this board has really gone main stream in the last 1+ year. I do see that many of the builders/valued contributers haven't been as active as they use to be in the past. A few seam to be visiting some other choice boards more frequently (myself included). This may be due to an influx of new members who have a very difficult time using the search button or exploring the sub forums. Just a peice of advise, if you have searched for your answer and can't find it, when you open a new thread let us know that you've looked around first. We will be much more willing to go the extra mile to help you through your problem/answer your question for you. That's not to say we won't help, but your more likely to get someone to go snap a picture/type a little extra for you if you do.

Just my 2 cents as usual.
