      Newbee here

Hi all, from, Munster in Washington state

Working on a 69 Firebird that is undergoing a sex change at this time. Explanation...I have had 69 Camaro fever since my childhood (early seventies) and riding all over with my brother in his, so I was looking to buy one for my mid life crisis fix, but found them more expensive than I could afford at the time, in good condition. So I bought this 69 Firebird because it was close and less money. But when it come down to making a parts list for the resto mod I noticed all the parts I needed could be converted to Camaro linage for the same dollars. (car needed more work than first thought).......So Iam not jumping on the 69 Camaro band wagon, but this has been my dream car since the beginning, just ask my wife and kids. I have been a tinkerer for many years and had many differant cars, my last was a Mazda RX-8 that I done with a JDM taste that reminds me a lot of pro touring, thats why I done it. I like them all (cars) and appreciate anything someone has done and is happy to show off.
The Bird,... and I am looking for a name to represent its misrepresentation, has these new parts sitting waiting to make it whole

      full rs hide away nose
      cowl hood
      CPP tubular upper and lowers
      12.5 disc w/polished calipers
      2" drop spindles
7" chrome diapham brake booster and master
      Unisteer Rack and pinion
      etc.

It is in having the rear quarters replaced and DSE mini tubs installed right now. About the time it gets home an air ride Tech air-bar rear should be here.
Then ART shockwaves for the front. I will be working on the rear axel set up at this time also ( ford or 12Bolt?, narrowing, etc.) and clean up of the undercarriage. I will be going for the 12" wide rear wheel pro touring stance on air.
I don't need lots of H.P. so I will probably put in a take out motor and auto trans from an early to mid 90's Corvette with all the attachments and electronics. Also because they are not expensive.

I am looking forward to and hope that this site will be as informative as the RX-8 owners group site was when I was building it. Thanks for the ear. Munster

That's interesting. Don't let that get out or there won't be any birds leftover either!
