      Pro Touring Avanti II

Thought i could get some good input from you guys on my current project. It's a 1966 Avanti II. I have replaced the brakes with late model Cobra discs front and rear. All new suspension. Building the new motor as a SBC 434 stroker with Procharger, backed up by a paddle shifted manumatic. I need any ideas I can get, but really want to try spoilers front and rear. Please help

      Jim

This is gonna be so cool. Congrats on trying something new with a car I doubt anyone would think to modify.

My thoughts are to get rid of those rims. Lower the car of course. That front bumper is awfully pointy and massive. Maybe try reshaping it or at the very least tone it down some how. A chin spoiler similar to what TonyL has on his Corvair should look good. To me the Avanti and Corvair have similar front ends which I way I say look at Tony's Corvair for an idea of how it might look.

That's all I have right now. Oh and of course I would recommend doing something with the paint, but that's so very subjective.

Good luck and keep us updated with pics. We love pics especially when it is something new and original.

Hey, now that it's been moved here to multimedia, would anyone care to Photoshop it and let us take a look?

Lower and different wheels. Not Chrome, dark grey or black with chrome lip. Yes on the spoilers front and rear. Looking good man!

Tony will have to get you a better shot if possible. However, the car I am referring to is the rendering in the first post here. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=26817

Here's what's peeking out from behind those rear 17x9's.
