The Vanderbilt Races, Sept 16, Long Island

I'm pretty sure I'm going. I went last year and had a good time. Not really a compitition but you get to race around a short course and there's also a car show with high end cars.

      Hmmmmm....were you not EJECTED?

Just kidding Frank, my car is apart getting ready for pocono so I am out this year. I was also a little annoyed when someone running the event said they hoped to only have "high end " cars this year, what a ****. And the guy with the maroon 911 made a stupid comment about camaros belonging at a dragstrip. You know, the 911 that misfired and ran a slower time than me and my buddy in the tacoma pickup.

Sorry for the rant, its been a long day.

Yeah, I was ejected, and then invited back several times. It seems this might be the only chance to push my car a little. Every time some kind of cool track day comes up, I start looking into putting in some kind or removable bar but I can't seem to do it without changing things I don't want to change. It might be time to start looking into how cheep I can put together the 68 Camaro coupe I've had sitting for 2 years just to run track events.

It was good, a little slow and disorganized, but I left early again. This time by my decision. My girlfriend took and video, when I get them I'll try to post some.

I just looked at some of the times from last year. How do some of the "fast" cars run slower than some of the "slow" cars. Is there something that I'm missing?

Dragracing is about fast cars, autocross is about fast drivers...and their timing system sucked.
