Another newbie with Charger R/T project

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh, and I've been lurking here for the past year or so, and have always been interested in cars than musclecars that are well balanced rather than dragstrip rides, which down here in Alabama, means I'm sort of an outcast. I was always the guy looking at old Trans AM, SCCA, vintage stock car, and rally racing, while everyone here was talking about drag racing.

Driving "an old Dodge" didn't help me blend in either, but I had my fun. My ride is a 70 Charger RT that I've had since I was 16, 9 years now. I've spent the last 4 restoring it, doing every single thing myself, with the help of some talented friends.

Nice site guys, I look forward to hanging out here.

I am protouring a 72 charger at the moment myself. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box.

Sounds dynamite man. I'm pumped to hear about another pro-touring charger being built. Doing that to a mopar is still a tad askew.

Nice Charger JR. That is my son's dream car. It's not as easy to do a Mopar, but at least it costs more...

Thanks for the welcome guys, there are alot of nice cars here. I'm very impressed with the quality of your cars. It is alot more fun to think outside the box. The way I see it, if it were easy, everyone would do it. And I refuse to drive the same car everyone elese is, even if I catch alot of trouble finding parts. Being different is worth it.

My ride is an original Ucode 440 4bbl 70 RT. It originally had high impact FY1 top bannana yellow paint, console, buckets, a/c, heavy duty cooling, all the good stuff. It's got a Six Pack set up on it now from a former owner.
My plans are to update the suspension, brakes, wheels, etc, without changing much of the overall look of the car. I have some 17 inch wheels in mind that I am going to have to have widened to 10 inches to fit the back. After these 15x10 Draglights its wearing now, a narrower tire would just look wrong.
here's a pic of 4 of the guages. I gotta run, I'll post more pics later. Thanks guys!
