      AZ member gathering

With cruising weather fast approaching us desert dwellers I was thinking it may be time for us AZ members to get together and put some faces with the names. I know we have quite a few guys in the north valley, at least 4 that I can think of, and some more out in the east valley.

So chime in guys and lets come up with a time and a place.

I'll start us off with suggestion, Fox Sports Grille on Scottsdale Rd, early to mid-October?

I can do it any weekend we want really, or even weekdays for that matter, doesn't matter to me. I'll leave it up to those among us with kids, wives, vacations, etc. to propose some dates.

      schedule

As far as I know, it's every Saturday ... if the weather's okay. I've been there 3 or 4 times ... always 25+ cars there ... big variety.
Seems like people get there while the sun is still out ... maybe 5:30 ish? I'm planning to meet with JackRS tomorrow to see his car.

Anyone else out there??????? Esp. 1st gen Camaro ?????

      Az. peeps

      Hi Guys,

Clay Inskeep here of OPM Customs in Tempe. I am definately down to meets everyone. I will meet anywhere, but would like to offer up my shop as a meeting spot. We are at Broadway and Rural, right next to the university, and would be a great "jumpin off" point for a cruise.

Ok guys, I set up a multiple choice poll so fill out what Saturday(s) will work best for you and we'll go with a simple majority.

As for the location, thank you for offering up your shop Clay. If it is agreeable to everyone else, Especially for this first event, it might be good to meet up at OPM customs in Tempe on one of the saturday's noted above, hang out for a bit, and determine a cruise destination at that point.

I also really like the idea of the Safeway show, since its much friendlier for our West Valley contingent. Any other suggestions? I'm all ears!

I wish I had a running car to bring out. I'd like to meet local people from here as well as Clay from OPM. Mark from Lateral D says he's a real cool dude and I may be in need of his services soon.

I hope this catches on so I can catch a meet in the future. Too many imports running around in packs in Phx at night and no pro-tourers.

Have fun and be safe guys. Or just don't get caught.

I'm in for the Safeway location, just as long as no show going on. Looks like several shows coming up soon.

Im on the west side too, so Safeway would work great for me as well, maybe for future meets.

Are there any objections to inviting the AZ members of Latera-G if they arent already members here?

The Safeway show can get sorta big, if we do decide to use that venue we may want to do it on the south side of the parking lot considering it would be much easier to find eachother there rather that get all mixed up in the general car show population and not have a clue who all the members are.

Jack, yep, that was me! I installed the last part (new alternator) on Friday at 1:30 pm and hit the road at 2:00 pm. It was the first real miles since all of my PT upgrades started over a year ago. We drove it there and back with no problems at all. Very cool.

I see no problem with getting the Lateral G guys involved, more the merrier. thanks for helping to get the word out 70Two.

It looks like people are gravitating towards the later-October weekend, so I guess we'll let the word continue to spread and get some more votes before deciding.
