      subframe help!!

I bought an extra subframe from a buddy for my 68', so I can still roll the car around while I am completely restoring the subframe and suspension. A couple weeks ago I tore the extra one down and was getting it ready for powdercoating. I noticed yesterday that there were some thin spots and holes in the subframe, the holes look like they are from someone griding on the frame. One I know is from the e-brake cable, but the other I have know idea. My question is should I have this patched/fixed or go another route. I don't want there to be a weak spot anywhere one the frame. If another route is your answer, who makes the best aftermarket subframe w/ suspension? Here are some pics of the frame, please ignore the messy garage we were having a garage sale.

I HATE garage sales! People come and give you pennies on the dollar for the stuff that you kinda sorta still want and leave the garbage/junk behind.
