It's pretty cool, the opening sound scared the living crap out of me because my volume was up and for some reason alot of the pics were slow loading (and I have a super fast connection!) Also, on your sponsors link, it still has the text prompts posted up.

      Bullit?

Great looking site! The audio sounds a lot like it came from Bullit, to me at least.

Yeah, yeah... that's it... Bullit! Thanks, otherwise it was gonna keep me up tonight (watching Two Lane, which I may do anyway...).

Thanks for taking a look, Its a work in progress so I know there are some things I need to tweak, like the Sponsors page, but I wanted to get it up asap to get reaction and critisim.

The car sound on the homepage is from none other then BULLIT.....best chase scene ever....imo

I have tons of pics that I have to scan and upload, and eventually I will thumbnail all of them which should take care of the slow loading..

      Thanks again Guys....

Very nice.. although I have no sound on my work computer so I will have to check it out out again tonight at home.

Nice car as well. You will find having a website has many benefits.

Hey Steve when are you going to update your site? It's been over a month now.

The sound clip scared the bee-jeebers out of me ! ! !

      I like:
      the checkerplate on the side
      the menu item graphics.
      the car... very nice

      I don't care for:
      the sound clip
the pistons on the bottom (and top)
      sponsor page has default text
too few pictures of your car

      To help your speed:
resize your pictures (DO NOT USE THE HTML TO RESIZE)
Your 'seans.jpg' is 1.88 Mg.... HUGE.
Use a photo editor (MS paint if you have to) and shrink that picture at least 75% (probably closer to 85%) THEN put the photo in your html with NO RESIZING. If you have Windows XP you should have MS Photo Editor (just double click any jpg on your hard drive)

What you are doing is showing a huge picture in a small window. Using the html editor (like Frontpage or whatever you are using) to resize the pictures will ALWAYS create a performance problem.

      Nice work!

When it stops raining and I can get a few things done :(

The things I have done lately don't warrant an update. But I need to have the car done by the end of the month so we should have foward progress again soon

Yep, fun but slow. It was also the most expensive of all the cars I've owned... cost me $1800 in '88, but it was mint. It makes me sick to think I got rid of that one and all the rest... all of them were in great shape, rust free, totally driveable, and not one of them cost me more than $800. I miss the '80s (pre musclecar boom).

      Please excuse the minor highjack.

Hey rob, not sure if you got my e-mail...but I'm happy to help ya out.

For the speed think (since that's what I figure the huh is) he means to resize the image itself rather than use the scaling ability of html. I hope that makes more sense.

      Huh?
      Yup.. what Matt said.

I assume that you are using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) type HTML editor package like FrontPage? When you paste in the picture, do you resize it with the editor after you have pasted it in? If so.... Don't. Resize the picture first.. THEN paste it into your HTML.

How can you not love the Bullit sound clip
I do love it.... just that 90% of web pages are silent... so when I looked at yours, it scared the daylights out of me. I was not expecting it.

      a little piston envy
LOL... No... just compared to your other graphics... they aren't as high quality. The top piston....does not seem to fit with the theme. The bottom one has a huge case of "jaggies" which is when you can see jagged lines instead of smooth lines. This is because you took a small graphic and made it large.

After saying all this.... please note.
      I own a domain name
      I have a hosted webspace.
My car is on a Cardomain site

WHY? 'cause I am too darn lazy to build my own web site.

Guess that makes me an armchair quarterback!

Good work... can't wait to see more

I'm just learning how to use this stuff so all the html talk is way over my head right now. I'm just going with what they gave my right now so I know some of the images are a little shaky. I'm going to put a couple hours on it this weekend to fine tune whats there and ad more pics and text.... Thanks for your help
