      Water in Engine Oil

Hey guys, I let my car sit for a month outside my house in San Francisco. The weather has been going from cooler to warmer - I don't know if it makes much of a difference, but as the title says, I have water in my oil.

I noticed it on the bottom of my pcv valve as I took it out today. Looks like man juice. Checked the dipstick, oil is a bit murky. I'm almost positive the head gaskets are not blown, nor am I losing any coolant. The engine is only 8 months old but due to a transmission failure, I had to let it sit outside and I only ran it once a week to move it for street cleaning.

Can it be just water condensation? My hood is not insulated, I have no wheel wells, or any engine bay weather stripping, so it gets a lot of nature's abuse.

Will a quick oil change solve this problem and do you think I will be fine? I'm freaking out.

You will see that in a humid climate where the car doesn't get driven much or you don't get the engine through a full heat cycle. Change the oil before you drive it again and try to stay away from short trips.

You could also have a used oil anaylisis done to make sure no coolant is getting into your oil They only cost about $25 bucks.

Could be leaking water from a head bolt or underneath the intake/head water passages.
