Help me plan out my suspension

      I have a 70 chevelle, I just got 18' with 245-40 and 20 with 275-40.
I want the rear to tuck like a 1" of the rim in the back and front to be right at the rim. I am on some what of a buget so i am pretty much thinkin springs and shocks for now.I have read like crazy and i am still up in the air how to achieve this stance. Also what shocks would i use on a lowered car?

First question that needs to be answered.... is your budget. Its easy to get all crazy... but to keep your idea realistic... that is going to be your guideline on what it is that you want to accomplish.

Thats why i am thinking of starting with springs and shock. But most name brand kits dont seem like they would be low enough, and im not sure witch ones i can and can not cut?

Well first of all... how low do you really want to go ?? You do know that there is a point of going too low... right ?? It can really screw up your geometrical needs as far as handling goes.

And... what are your considerations for aftermarket suppliers ?? A mix and match (of suppliers) can most likely get you where you want to be without going nuts.

That is why I asked about your budget. It can be as simple as using SC&C or Hotchkis springs and Bilstein shocks to... spring adjusters with the correct rate springs and a set of correctly valved shacks... to coilover Penskes. Both the latter allow you to adjust the ride height without cutting a thing.

Talk budget first so that we may be able to narrow your choices down so that you may be able to make the correct decision without mortgaging the house or giving up a kidney.
