      would this look stupid?

67 camaro RS, has the red/red tail lights, when stoping do you think it would look stupid of only one of the two lamps flashed with the signal on? the other would be on but it would be a brake lamp. i'm making my own LED tail lamps and before i start to wire it all together i wanted to see what everybody thought.

look for pictures of them in the project updates in the next few days. working at a chevrolet dealer for over 4 years i have saved all the LED's in the mirrors, with out the cover on them or the glass they are blinding, i have 8 for the right lamp assembly and 8 for the left.

Edit: here is the start of moc up just to see how bright they are so its just a temp way to hold them in place.

did you use the far outside as the signal when it was on vince? i'm going to go ahead and wire it so it only has one flashing per side and see how it works out.

I am actually thinking of the same thing for my '69. The inside lights being running light only is a little lame.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?

all i am working on right now is brake and turn lamps, the running lamps will be a single big LED in the center of each group of lamps, so there would be a total of 4 running lamps. when the brakes are on both inside and outside will light up but when the turn signal is on only the inside one will be on and the outside will flash. i don't know if that makes any sence with out seeing it. i'll try and post up some pictures tonight.

Yeah I had both on with stops on and just the outside flasher. The other one I did was both on and both flash with turns...that one looked good too.

We also did a 69 with 3 lights and ran a cougar sequentials hooked up. that worked real well.

I have a set of clear, they were just released a couple months ago. You could make our LEDs work like you are asking, just have to do a little rewiring. Red or clear $119 a set.
