      Radiator core support

I plan on getting my subframe blasted and powercoated satin black next week, should I also do the same to my radiator core support or should it be painted the same color as the car? The entire engine bay will be painted the car color as the car.

      What color is your car?

If your car is red, for example, I would powder or paint the support black/grey and then paint the top rail and the side facing the engine red to match the car.

I don't like looking though a grill and seeing a bright body color.

Paint it black! You don't want to see the c/s through the grill, it just looks bad.

True, but if your bay is engine color there's nothing wrong with doing the top and side facing the engine in the body color. You just don't want to see it (or a huge logo on the radiator) through the grill

      It's going to be silver.

You don't really want to see that much bright silver through the grill.. it ruins the black effect of the grill itself.

Do the support in silver but black out the side facing the grill. The alum radiator will still add a bit of silver as an accent but the whole thing silver would be too much.

Steve has really good taste (take a look at Penny) so his advice is actually worth $.03. It was amazing too what he did with the Fairlane for next to nothing (and that was before adding the new wheels).

Should I just have the paint and body guy just tape it off and paint the two colors, or PC and then have him paint the side that I want silver?
