Hot Rod/Primedia Dream Build Drive DVD Library

I just recieved a DVD from the folks at Hot Rod & Primedia promoting their Dream Build Drive DVD Library, has anyone else recieved these with their subscription? You purchase each DVD if you elect to keep them once their sent to you. The first one I recieved was "Complete Bodywork & Sheetmetal Preparation". I haven't watched it yet so I don't know how good it is or if I'll keep purchasing them as they're sent to me. Just wanted to know if anyone else has been buying these and what they thought.

I got one friday and was wondering if it was like "columbia house" or something?!?! Kind of sucks that they send it to you without asking and then charge you if you don't send it back. Even if you DiD NOT order it.
Maybe a good dvd, haven't watched it yet, but the priciple bothers me.

I might have read it wrong but I thought we can keep the first one but all others would need to be returned if we didn't buy them. Either way I'll know once I watch it whether or not its something I'll keep.

they did this to many a few months ago also. You do not owe them anything but they "request" you enroll and pay for further DVD's or send it back to them.

I watched the one I got a few months ago, it was an older guy, seemed fairly knowledgable but came off a little arrogant or something. I remember not wanting to watch HIM anymore.

The DVD was only mildly interesting....."bodywork and sheetmetal prep".

The bonus features are better than the build content. If you don't know much they are good vidioes.
You can send them back if you like, the first one is totally free to send back but the ones after that will cost you but you get to keep the stamp.
I bought the first one because it was only $7 but after that they are more money.
I will say it again that the bonus features are cool and the stamps are cool too!

So it's up to you if you want to do it or not but I am waiting for some of the later ones to come out before I buy any of them. Most of what they are doing I already can do very well I found out from watching it.

      Well I watched mine today...

It was pretty useless except when they actually started to do the floor repair etc. I dont have alot of experience doing that stuff so I found it useful. Some of the tips and tricks will help me in the future

How to jack up a car ?? Come on...... how to disassemble....... useless unless you are a complete novice. The point about bagging and tagging is nice to bring up for someone thats never disassembled a car but not how to unscrew a grill piece..... way too basic.

The drag week bonus was cool. I cant believe they drove some of those 8 second cars so many street miles. Wicked....
