      Barrett-Jackson Auction

Anyone else been watching the show? Just saw a bright yellow 69 Z/28 with the cross-ram and disk brakes go for $112K. Damn!

I've seen alot of nice Chevy's today. Some of those cars are going kinda cheap also, surprisingly.

I have watched it some today and could not believe what some cars were bringing and some were not. 58 impala convert for $104K the '60 Starliner was wicked and I thought it was cheap at $60K. I think I am in the wrong business.

Yeah, I wondered about that black 58 impala also. YUCK! It went for more than the ultra-cherry red '57 vert earlier.

That green pro-touring '67 fastback Mustang (by Roush) went pretty cheap. What did it sell for, something like $35K?

Also saw a clean GTO convertible go for $25K

I have been watching this rerun all day and it really has me fired up about this year's auction in about 3 weeks. I will actually be there this time and not just have to see the cars covered by TV. If only I had about a mil to spend.....but then, where would I put them?
Everyone said last year was a high water mark with the prices but I think this year will be even better, especially the COPO and well documented cars.It will also be interesting to see how well the Pro-Touring cars are represented there this year. Look for me, I'll be the fat 46yearold with the white P-T hat on and my hands in my pockets.

I liked the third of the car the best, I think it was also the cheapest, a bargain at only $110,000

Did Barrettt Jackson buy Speed Channel? Why on Gods green earth am I subject to repeated reruns of last years auction and that stupid car search show. The stuff was ok when it was current. Then in a couple weeks we'll see this year's auction live, which I enjoy watching, I just hope I don't have to see it again and again and again...

Wait a minute.....there is a Republican in the White House.....if I know my network news, and I think I do, isn't the economy supposed to be in the crapper right now? Hmm curious, $150k for a car to sit in the garage 364 days a year. Sounds like a third world country to me.

Yeah, that sure is a curious thing, ain't it?
And every time I drive by a restaurant or shopping center, the parking lots are packed. I didn't know that Best Buy and The Olive Garden took foodstamps. Isn't the media a wonderful thing?

Kinda strange isn't it! The "recession" and all, around here, there is more new homes being built than ever before, oh, and they all sell!! My families business has had one of the highest grossing (and close to the highest netting) years ever (35 years in business). And I am a bottom feeder commercial roofer!
      Worthless media!
What really sucks is that the millitary people have to come home and hear about all the BS that "really" goes on where they just came from. From the people who ain't got a clue, just an agenda.

This thread is getting pretty close to a political thread. Please remember that those aren't permitted.
