seeking reference for console project
Hi Guys,
I am wondering if anyone has a reference for someone that can work on the console for my car? I want to take the 4th generation console I have and modify the section the stock shifter, and cup holder was in such that it now accommodates and ratchet shifter (B&M unit). The inline cup holder will disappear, but I am hoping to keep the general look of the transition to the dash intact. I have a local company that does custom dashes, and interior work quoting but just wondering if anyone else has a source that I could bounce this off?

Since it is plastic it should be fairly easy to modify. My 6 speed console has been modified sort of like what you are talking about. My console had a removable piece that housed the shifter. I took it out and trimmed carefully until it fit what I was after. Sanded and polished a bit, ran a piece of welting around the opening, done. It took a while but I'm happy with it.
