      Katech Value 427 Short block

I was curious if anyone had any thoughts or feedback on the Katech Value 427 Short block?

I kinda like it and I was thinking that the completed engine would be comparable to an LS7 yet cheaper and with equal power and similar reliability.

Granted, it doesn't have the titanium rods or dry-sump, but it does have forged pistons, Cola crank and Callies H-beam rods, and you can easily have a kick ass Katech cam slipped in it.

What heads would you match with this thing? Basic LS7 heads, or the L92's? My last read (a while ago) was that the L92's were hard to cam properly for big power and easy driveability.

I'm a sponge so I'm open to all idea's here.....

Top shelf short block, remember that it is a resleeved LS2. Katech does nothing but good, $$$$ work. Cola crank is argueably the best, premimum parts and $$. Go to LS1 tech for more on short block LS7's. I had mine built to specs by LME, with a LS7 block.
