Attn: Spal controller users?
I have a spal controller with a Mark VIII fan. Is it supposed to turn on high for about a minute or two on startup? I currently have it connected to my TPI temp sensor. Just spliced into the wire. Works fine after the fact though.

Did you program the controller first? You have to set the two temperature ranges for the fan before you connect it.

Yeah, I programmed it first. I spoke with someone in tech support and he said it is supposed to kick on for a few seconds at start up. He then told me I need a relay hooked up to it to kick the fan on instead of wiring it directly. I was pretty sure I was told that it was ok to hook it up without the relay at first.
